The characters . . .

I've been meaning to start writing this for so long, that I've long since forgotten the witty beginnings I've dreamed up, time and again. So, lacking those, I'll get back to basics and introduce my cast of characters.

MamaBlogger -- (that's me) A 30-year-old white, pagan woman, married for 12 years, mother to three children. A college graduate who's never employed her degrees (at least not in the market place). A hard-core activist for such parenting-related causes as breastfeeding and attachment parenting and a somewhat less hard-core but still enthusiastic proponent of such topics as earth-based spirituality, natural living, environmentalism, herbs/homeopathy, literature, yada, yada, yada.

FatherBlogger -- This would be dh (dear husband), spouse of above mentioned 12-years-married woman. Father to above mentioned three children and tow truck driver, to boot.

Fionna -- Child numero uno. Born in 2000. Diva deluxe, empathus maximus, sensitive to the bone, snuggle-lovin', mama-adorin' girl child.

Grady -- Boy of my heart, my middle-born joy. Born in 2003. All boy (aka energy extraordinaire, destructo maniac, delights in body parts and nudity, trucks and planes, you get the picture).

Ainslie -- Wee little poppet, born from me in my very own bed in 2006. Happy, happy, happy girl (did I mention happy?). There was never better icing for a family cake.

Minor characters:
Munch -- aging dachshund, prone to sleeping constantly, barking regularly and sporadically chewing valuable items.

Ginny and Maeve -- the pair of tabby cats, one orange (ginger, I mean), one grey. Lazy hair-shedding creatures adept at being dressed in doll clothes, sleeping regularly on freshly washed (yet not put away) black clothing, and eating.
